meh WoW is so 2005. We're all so 2009 now.

I think wow has hit it's sell by date, at least for me. I played it like crazy back in the vanilla wow and even in TBC. But with Wrath I was over it before we had even started clearing Nax 25.

I was never really into the WoW lore or anything. The only thing I thought was a bad move from a lore point of view was giving the horde paladins. I get it from a game / encounter balance point, but from a fantasy perspective that a wrong move imo.

All the wow expansions now are like a star trek rip off I saw in furturama I think it was... WoW (expansion 99): So tired, so very, very tired.

It's sort of like the genius you went to college with who later becomes way more successful than you and makes millions, leaving you behind to clean toilets at Pick n' Pay.

Or at least I'd imagine it to be like that...

Imagine the new commers to WoW. I was at incredible connection yesterday and I noticed the cost of the game.
    World of Warcraft - R160
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade - R160
World of Warcraft: WOTLK - R290

Thats R610 for all the content up to current, gives you 1 month of subscription and you will still need to download and patch over 1Gb.

It's quite a hefty price to get started.

Well you don't need it all at once at all.

It works out to a lot less than those who bought the expansions at release had to pay

Would it not be cheaper to buy the Battle Chest with WoW + TBC, than to buy those separately?

Also once Cataclysm is out I am sure a new Battle Chest with WoW + TBC + WotLK gets released at a cheap price. Then the only thing at full price would be the latest expansion as they generally are.
