So I was watching Cybernet one afternoon when they showed the first footage of Tomb Raider at the end of the show as the credits were coming up. My mind was blown and I just had to play this game.
When it finally was released in SA I went to the video shop close by and rented out one of their Sega Saturns with this game for an entire weekend and did nothing else. This was the first time I can remember playing a game where there was some measure of freedom in your moments and didn’t just follow a set path to finish a level. Also, the puzzles on the first playthrough were at times a bit challenging resulting in a very rewarding feeling when you finally figure out what it is you have to do to get that door open…
Anyway my begging to my parents also paid off and on the last day of school that year I got my very own Playstation and a copy of Tomb Raider and finally got the chance to finish this game without having all the saves deleted.

This is a bit off my topic but does anyone remember the PS demo discs that used to come with the consoles? Mine had a playable demo of Wipeout 2097 and Porsche Challenge that I played to death.
