Default Gears of War 2 PC

Before you start thinking no no no, Epic and Microsoft said it won't come to pc.

Sit back and think. With GOW Both parties said there WONT be a pc version. All pc gamers sulked and console gamers rejoiced and rubbed it in our faces. More than a year later, we rubbed extra levels and higher detail rez among other things in their faces. I, being primarily a PC gamer, allways said that Gears of war was comming to pc, I remember a story way way way back when mark Reign (I think it was him) said Epic will allways be PC gamer based developers. CliffyB leans towards the 360 we all know that.

Anyhoo. I found this piece of info regarding GOW2 while browsing......

June 11, 2009 - The PC rumor mill started to catch on fire earlier this afternoon with info that Gears of War 2, the critically and commercially acclaimed title from Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios. According to one website, there were plenty of details that appeared to be pulled from an upcoming press release and even a preliminary box shot with the Games for Windows logo stamped on the front and limited edition details. Even though Microsoft have been denying it so far you knew it was coming, IGN are reporting this morning that Gears of War 2 will be arriving on PC’s before Christmas this year. December 4th to be exact.

And to be truly exact they are not reporting it they are just reporting on the rumour that it may be coming… but it’s all the same in the end isn’t it.

Microsoft are still refusing to confirm that it will arrive but there is no reason why Epic or Microsoft would want to miss out on that the extra cash.

The big question now is whether the game will have once again have added levels that the 360 version won’t get?

I seldom believe these 'Exclusives' anymore. I have a good handful of 360 games that state as much on the cover, and oh wait, there is a PC version!

But this is not a bad thing. It is better to have a game on as many platforms as possible, for both us the gamers and the developers, however it is underhanded how they go about these so called 'Exclusives!".

I fully agree. Consoles bring them more money than PC (apart from WOW hehe) So it's a good way of increasing revenue for like a year or so, branding something "exclusive" before releasing to other platforms.

yeah the "exclusive" seems to equate to "first to be released on"

No the AI was the same, I mean, why on earth would they change it for the PC? The fact that you had a mouse and keyboard to aim with made them easier to kill.

I would love to get GOW2 for my PC. Especailly if they add a little something extra like they did with GOW1.

on the console my ai partner had no corner humping intentions like the pc version where as he would constantly go out of his way to hump each and every corner which had me going 300 most of the time, very annoying.

I'm ... not convinced. Cliff Blezsinki hated the PC version of Gears of War, and has been adamant that the sequel would not be ported to PC because of all the problems with the first one. Of course, from a publisher's perspective, it makes perfect sense to maximise your market, so it's certainly not an unlikely contingency. I just wouldn't hold my breath on this one.

lol, if it takes to long it will be less possible to sell too much or be over played- that was the case for me with jade empire, when it finally came to pc i was just like o yay it made it too pc and never got around to play it.
