    Default Your personal gaming Precepts

ie: Your personal set of rules when you game.

No hacking is on the top of my list. Wish it could be top of everyones list.
Not using the town portal button in Diablo 3

People complain about grenades and launchers in BF3 but I will use them, they have their place.

I know I'd like to always explore every bit of a map but that doesn't always pan out. I try though...

The idea of this thread popped into my head after reading the frustrations of gamers about the increasing amount of hacks used in games. So this is just a thread to see where people stand on that and other general gaming themes.

No cheats for God Mode or all weapons/ammo unless its GTA and I have 20 minutes to spare and need a quick bit of entertainment.

    1. No cheats.
    2. No hacking (Not that I have any idea how to hack).
    3. Go to 'Quit' or 'Exit Game', even though Alt F4 is so much easier (Except if game crashes).

My number 1 rule is that I will stop playing any game that I get bored with, no matter how "good" or popular it's supposed to be. I never force myself to play games that don't really pull me in. That's the main reason why I have hundreds of games I've never finished, I lose interest in things very easily.

Globally. Just playing the game without assistance, cheating or related.

Some titles needs handicap to make them actually challenging:
Recent (since there are too many to list and remember)

    Crysis 2
Not using the binocs. Seriously too easy when you paint and mark everything.

    Serious Sam BFE
Not saving, hard and only using checkpoints

    :edit
Additionally some titles needs their music off and a dark room... deadspace2 with no music...

Never play a game on easy.

Only use cheats once a game has been completed.

Never start anything you can't finish and never write a cheque with your mouth your ass can't cash

These precepts also translate to real life, so all keyboard warriors please take note

Couldn't agree with you more. Playing a game on Easy difficulty is a real waste.

1: If its unlocked play the game on the highest difficulty.
2: Keep an Open mind i.e. I only avoid games if I know its crap.
3: No Sports Game, Rugby, Football, Cricket etc. My thinking is if I can do it in real life there is no point doing it in game.
    4: Share what I know.
