Uncapped ADSL bundles – pricing comparison

Afrihost has recently unveiled aggressively priced uncapped ADSL bundles. This is how Afrihost’s pricing compares with other ISPs

That looks very cool, but how are the Afrihost uncapped accounts in terms of contention ratios and shaping all that and stuff? They may be cheap, but do they perform well?

Also, I remember from a few years ago, whenever Seacom went down, you lost all international connectivity if you were on Afrihost, does anyone know if they've sorted out backup capacity yet?

I would like to see a comparison between the contention ratios and the AUPs, as this is very important. Also something like average speeds at specific times of the day.

For instance:
I was swapped to Cybersmart 1MB uncapped yesterday at 17:06. I am currently downloading torrents, without any software hiding that these are torrents, at around 90-100kbps. This was my normal speed on the regular line. If it continues this way forever, I will be a very happy subscriber.

...although I still absolutely hate and despise and loathe their support and the general ethic where "it's okay to not answer a client ticket for 3 days"...
