Still need to watch this movie, heard some good things about it though.

I still need to give Journey a go too. It's on my digital "to-buy" list. Braid was good. Not yet watched the film but given everyone's impressions I'll definitely look into it.
To be honest, I haven't seen the movie but would like to give my opinion on Fez - I don't get all the hype, it was okay but nothing too amazing. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who disagrees and why they thought it was great.
I actually thought Fez was superb. The depth and complexity of the puzzles, the cleverness of the mechanics, the unique art style, and the charming look and feel. I admit, it's not for everyone and I can understand why some may be put off. But what specific parts didn't you like?
Not so much as dislike, more that it didn't grab me. The changing perspective was quite nifty but after the initial "hey that's pretty cool" it just became a routine mechanic in that i'd just flick around the level until I got the right angle for a jump. There definitely are good aspects; I liked the attention to detail and that environmental effects were actually part of the gameplay in certain cases (such as the rain splashing off of the invisible platforms which we also revealed in flashes of lightning). I just found that as I played I couldn't actually be bothered to search for all the cubes and at the moment I don't have any intention of putting in the effort to finish it. Again I say, it didn't grab me. Maybe it wasn't the right type of game for me at the time.

There are few games that impacted me as much as Journey. Especially when you play with someone else; it just adds another dimension to the game.

Braid is probably my second favourite 2D platformer. It was legitimately one of the few games that evoked a plethora of emotion without a single word being spoken.
