for 10k you are safe.just make sure you dont get some retarded components and pay too much for them..do your research, look at lots of benchmarks.and remember, most cores any game will use is 4 and the GPU is more important than CPU most of the time.set yourself up for SLI/crossfire so when you got a little more money to burn down the line, you just have to get a second card.

I was thinking the exact same thing,
Thanks Alien. But I still need a motherboard, if I could have it my way I would have an i5 3570k with 2 x Radeon HD 7770, 3TB WDCB hard drive IS NEEDED (I've got A LOT of stuff that needs to go on)
    16GB Ram
    Tv Tuner Card
    Bluetooth Wireless card
    Blu-Ray dvd Writer and a
    1000W silverstone PSU

    from the bottom up:
Silverstone?wouldnt trust it.and 1000w is overkill unless its just because its silverstone
blue-ray writer, is this needed?will you really be writing blue-rays?
bluetooth wireless card and tv tuner card? these will impact on your space for crossfire, but can be done if you get the right mobo..but once again.what do you need these for?

16gb ram??? unless you do AutoCad or some sort of design/rendering,this is crazy.4gb is enough although 8gb would be ideal.this is something that can be upgraded at a later stage
2x7770?if i could have my way id get 2x 7990.lol.even though i dont have my way i still prefer 1x 7850.that way the VRAM wont get in the way when i crossfire.and the latest games need more than 1gb of VRAM for high graphics anyway.this is another thing which can be easier to add one later than replace 2 cards
the hdd.rather get a smaller drive for your OS and a secondary big drive for storage.nice to compartmentalize and the chances are that a big drive like that will have low RPM or transfer rates..
the 3570K gets my thumbs up.expensive but worth it.should last you years.this with a z77 board will treat you well.although you will pay huge amounts for...but if its only gaming this rig is being built for then this is a luxury, not a necessity.as long as you have a decent quad core, the chances are that your gpu is going to bottleneck you anyway.
if you look on carbonite, you should be able to pick up a 2500k and save yourself a few buffalo's(R100 rand notes).and then spend the extra on a better motherboard/ram/GPU. and in general you will get much more value for money as long as you do face to face deals.

From top to bottom ( hehe I had to sorry)
Dnt really need silverstone bt had the 1000W if I needed it
Dnt need a Blu-ray writer or reader but would like to have a reader
Bluetooth card I can do without but the tv tuner i do need, (my tv is constantly
Being raided + I wana tap some shows)
16gb ram I thought it'll be good for gaming
I was actually thinking of getting a 64Gb SSD for the OS and I think the HDD is 7200rpm and 6Gb/s but I'll check
I couldn't think of any other graphics card for the same price I'm willing to pay about R1400-ish for a graphics card though
I was looking at the 2500k aswell, actually I forgot why I decided againist it

unless you are getting 2 dual gpu cards you more than likely wont need 1000w.rather get better quality 800w-900w.you might be able to find a reader/dvdwriter combo and save yourself some money.
u can get bluetooth on a usb.that should save you a PCI slot if you do decide to get it down the line.
    tv-card,if you need it,you need it :P
16gb ram..ive never ahd an issue with 4gb.a mate said 4gb was being maxed out cos he had internet windows open and music playing etc.so he went to 8gb...so 8gb is more than enough
ssd.always fun .but expensive and doesnt give you gaming performance..just general load times of applications.
id say budget around R2500-R3000 for a GPU.this is the most important for games

Scratching out the SSD will save me cash so might use it with the cash from the GPU
I've been searching for a motherboard, found like 1 or 2 that I like will post the models later (Gotta find a paper I wrote it down on)
And then I was thinking a
Zalman Z11 Plus case to put it all in (was going Z9 but the Z11 looks better to me)

i got the Z9.pretty happy with it besides the lack of dual rad fittings for a H100..the Z9 and Z11 are good value for money.especially on a budget build.when i have the time ill get a good list of components for your budget.but its better that you learn for yourself

    CPU: Intel 3570k Quad core
    R2299 @ Zaps
    Ram: G.skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600mhz
    R559 @ Wootware
    Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200rpm

    Asus 24x Internal DVD Writer
    R252 @ Zaps (I think)

    R958 @ Zaps (not sure)
    And a Compro TV tuner
    R300 @ nivo
    Total: R7481
    Money Left: R2519

With this I need to get a nice graphics card and power supply

(This budget was actually suppost to include Monitor (Fujtsu 21" Wide monitor R899) Keyboard (Thermaltake eSports ultimate KB R702) Mouse(Zalman ZM-M300 optical mouse R120) and some speakers but oh well...)

This pc wil be used for
