Damn right its lacking content, even the whole random event and dungeon system isn't really all that random. Farming for gear can only keep you entertained for so long, especially considering the ridiculously bad drop rate.

While I enjoyed Diablo III, and I will probably sink more time into it, I wonder how long Blizzard can get away with remaking the same game before gamers get annoyed. Sure, there are some neat modern features, shiny new visuals, and it all has that level of Blizzard polish you come to expect - but I can't help feel I've done all this before. It's Diablo II all over again.

A hypothetical WarCraft 4 RTS better bring something new and invigorating to the table.

As for Diablo III, why not get the development team to make some (free!) content additions? Some new events and dungeons using existing assets even? With this whole real-money auction house thing, they need to give people more content to explore so they use the auction house, and therefore make money.

I reckon it's really just a pilot for the next big money-maker for Blizz - their MMO codenamed "Titan" which will undoubtedly include a real-money auction system. Diablo III players are the guinea pigs.

I doubt I will ever finish Inferno since the amount of hours needed to grind for gear\ gold is going more than likely kill my spirit long before I get there.

Well I am incredibly stubborn so I might get through it.
