Totally agree. I do hate those mice with a zillion button on the side. I just don't see the point of assigning all those buttons to one finger since that is almost always going to be slower than assigning keyboard shortcuts, also by moving you thumb around that much you could move your mouse along with it which would be bad.
Finally the Logitech MX518 gets some recognition, never had the inclination to try one of those lame Razer wannabes.
Is there a part of the article missing?A list full of features that you probably won’t need to care about
I can surely notice a 300dpi vs 900dpi+. When I play FPS I don't want to move around my whole table, I prefer as little as possible where as slower speeds are better for something like a mmo.So if all of the above isn’t really important, what is? Well comfort for starters, and features that you can actually notice in game.

Side note, best gaming mouse mat I currently have is a R10 plastic thin cutting board. It is vastly superior to the roccat R400-something mat...

I wanted to like the MX518, but.... I am left-handed.

Loving my razer deathadder, just scanned through this not sure if it was mentioned already..but you could look at the razer deathadder left hand edition. http://store.razerzone.com/store/raz...ctID.182251700
That's why I love the Razer Krait. It's a gaming mouse, just without all those unnecessary things that you're never going to use anyway.
