    Thumbs down

What idiot put CC details on the Xbox live and doesn't use the parental controls for it? Oh the same idiot that hasn't taught his/her 12 year old that shit cost money.

Oh you dont know how it work? Here let me show u a trick: Use THIS Nifty Special Feature of the Internet.

The Xbox 360 console lets you customise and manage your family's access to games, films and television content. The Xbox 360 parental controls can be used to control the console itself and access to Xbox LIVE. Parental controls allow you to control things such as:
    • Which games can be played.Which films and TV shows can be watched.
    • How long each family member can use the console on a daily or weekly basis.
    • Whether or not someone can access Xbox LIVE.
    • How to set up online safety and privacy settings for child accounts.

I would say they relay on the user to be responsible with his/her/its money.

Also it would be pretty hard to Spend £100 in a single session considering you can get 2000MS points for under £20. The point purchase confirmation screen also asks you to confirm that you will be buying, say 1000MS points, for the £ amount and even gives the final 4 numbers of the card linked to the account so the kid is talking Kak by pleading ignorance. Another case of the parents not actually knowing anything about his kids past times. 12 year old... call of duty... doesn't it have an 18 Age restriction? I hope MS doesn't do shit, let this idiot learn the hard way.

That doesn't say you can stop someone from buying MS points, only accessing Xbox Live which you obviously need to play Mplayer. Not saying it can't be done just saying that's not what you quoted.

Also once your card is in the system it's a pain to remove. Hell until recently you had to phone MS just to get them to stop automatically renewing your XBL subs.

I'll test it on my wifes account and see. In my mind not being able to access xbox live would stop you from purchasing points since you need to connect to retrieve the current prices.

Yeah but the point is he wanted his son to be able to play FIFA online, so how would you allow multiplayer but disallow purchases?

Its not unique to brit parents although it is more common among them.
