Default 32" LCD TV with Network

    Hey fellas,

We are looking at buying a 32" LCD/LED/Plasma TV for our room, to replace our old 54cm Panasonic CRT.
We currently have the 40" Samsung in the TV room, with a PS3 offering the DLNA media streaming to this room. Now I would like to get a television set in the Room, that has this built in. I have been looking at the Samsung Series 5 (I think) 32" with AllShare / SmartTV, which is the one I would like to have, but at R5,500 this is a bit steep.

Any ideas which brand or model or make I can buy that has the ability to play movies from the PS3 Media server I am running on my Media Server? I cannot break the bank, so any cheaper alternatives may have to do.

    Any suggestions welcome!

Just thinking out of the box here . YOu an get a good quality cheap 32" like the hisense range for about R2300 odd. Then just buy a media player like the AC Ryan or Iomega ones. ( the ones without hard drives ) They are small enough and has RJ45 ports.. So you can still come out for under R3k?

You then browse of your pcs network and you can play without a problem ?

I did think about this, thanks Cranky...

I was just under the impression that most TVs have this built in, but apparently it's only the newest that do!

Also take a look at the Raspberry Pi, with xmbc installed (which is straight forward) it can do almost anything.

This would be my first option, if I were able to get one. In fact, if I could, I would get 4 to 5 of these! I can see plenty of uses for this, I would replace my home PC entirely(it's not fit for gaming ATM, so it's a large power-sucking torrent leeching mo fo).

So I see orders are open again, now if only I had some spare cash

Also, I suppose if I order one now, I will only have it by December or around that time!
