I still remember spawning east of Electro and running across the north-eastern part just outside of Electro where I heard shots fired on me... it did take him(them?) like 20 shots to kill me, which was funny but yea. Some retribution is in order.

I am having real problems with the install - I have followed all the guides on the DayZ Wiki, using the DayZ commander, with all my directories correctly set, I can't load the game. The problem seems to be with the Beta patch 90961 - My system doesn't want to load the beta. I have used the instructions here: http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/How_to_install_DayZ

but I am using the version from GOG.com, not Steam. I have tried running everything as administrator. I've tried editing the registry etc. Anyone else with any other ideas? Maybe it's because I'm using the GOG.com version?

When an anti-piracy method is affecting the game for people who legitimately bought it and causing other people not to buy the game, there is obviously something wrong with it!
I'm looking forward to it, I just hope I can get the game working :P
I haven’t played for a while now, but I it does seem like the scripting has increased on ZA servers.
On Saturday I believe (the last time I played), a few of us were in Cherno in quite a decent vantage point. On 3 occasions players would “spawn” next to us (probably ghosting on another server where it safe before switching, hoping to take us out), many failed as a result. The kicker is that a particular player (or 2) would constantly be very close to us, with the exact same loadout as what he had when we killed him (L85AWS+PDW). Also, lots of kicking for scripting happening too, which is good to see.
Would those player's names be DecimatorZA, Jamilla, and two others? (NH Tags)
I had endless issues with these guys on the weekend. And when I finally took them all out (I'm sure as I was careful to scout first) I got shot a few seconds later by the exact weapon they were carrying. Hacking and scripting has become really bad
