Nee is reg bokvel se maar net as jy manne gesoek het om mee te speel. Limpnoodle speel ook baie, asook Geelhaar monster

It's brilliant. I've barely touched any COD since I've installed DayZ :P

Ok, I need help, lots and lotsa help... and that is just to start the game and get on a server.

I bought ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead on Steam. A buddy gave me the files so I don't have to download it all. Today I downloaded the Dayz Mod, it was 103Mb.

However, I struggle to see any low ping servers. I saw 2, one claimed I have to remove certain files (???), the other claimed I'm missing some gun file (texture or something). After that, I haven't seen any low ping servers.

Steam claims all the files are up to date. However, I am running 1.6.2, but apparently I must run something else (1.6.2.1...)

Where do I get the missing files?
Why do I have "extra" files"?
How do I see a low ping server?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Get dayz commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/ the use the Version manager and check that all the updates are in order ect also use serverbrowser to look for the south african servers filter using za ect hope this helps

Yup, what he said. Install Dayz commander. At the top right click on install / update. There should be 3 items to check. Dayzcommander, Arma2 and DayZ. Make sure that all 3 are updated.

Then on the left you will have a filter field, Type in ZA, and click refresh all servers. You should pickup ZA10 and ZA5 in the list. Click on the star next to them to favourite them, and then just doubleclick on the server you want to play and enjoy DayZ

For guys that own Arma 2 combined ops, dont forget to check out other servers aswell , especially the ones with the ACE mod ( like URAL domination ) . Dont be afraid to play on international servers, the delay isn't going to affect your gameplay ( unless in cqb ) .

I love ACE mod. I've always liked things more that lean towards realism. I miss Project reality for bf2
