GetHype Chartiy Tournament
GetHype will be running a charity tournament on the 8th September 2012 at AWX in BrightWater Commons in Randburg.
The tournament will consist of Tekken 6, Soul Calibur IV and Super Street Fighter IV AE2012. If Persona 4 Arena is out by then we will add this into the event.
This will be a charity event for the Ark Animal Centre in Kyalami and I thought it would be a great idea if we could do a big tournament to try and raise some money for them and the animals. The AAC is basically a non-profit Centre that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes abandoned, abused and neglected puppies and dogs and I am trying to get the big names involved with this.
This will also be a final goodbye to Tekken 6 as after TTT2 is released GetHype will no longer be running Tekken 6 tournaments.
So please spread the word out to friends and family to come and support the event, I'd like to make this a big one so even if you don't play fighters try to come out for a good cause and get behind it.
The tournament will be run as a standard double elimination event and everyone is welcome to participate or spectate the event. All games will be run on PS3.
We will be starting at 11am on the 8th of September and should be finished by 5pm. Entrance will be R30 per game and all proceeds will go to the Ark Animal Centre.
This is a great chance for the community to pull together and give back a little something of themselves.
