Wanted: Monkey Island 1 & 2, PC/MAC

I could swear that I saw these available as free old DOSBOX games on a google search. But yeah, has anyone bought the Steam/HD versions - what is it like?

I remember having a HUGE laff with the monkey isle series - back in the good ol days.

Apparently Abandonware isn't really legal. Its more of a people's movement but its a made up term by people who want to get stuff for free.

Full Throttle is available on the LucasArts reissue range. I bought one about 18 months ago. From the same range, I also picked up Sam & Max Hit the Road, The Dig, and Grim Fandango. They were all around a fiver or so in the UK.

I've still got my collector's edition of the Monkey Island collection. :3

Where does Escape from Monkey Island fit into? Purchased a copy a while ago at GAME of all places.

I think that's the third game in the series?

I wanna check out the first and second games which are apparently the best though escape's rated by some. I'm not a fan of the art style.

Escape from Monkey Island is the fourth - and by far, worst - title in the series. I didn't like it at all.

The first three are faaaaantastic games.
