It's a little more than an over-sight... What game, in this day and age, caps your resolution at 1024 x 768? Not a good start for this port.Originally Posted by Tsar
Wow, this is the nail in the coffin. Definitely not getting this. If something like this makes it into a port, then things aren't looking particularly bright for the game.

I think this is quite sad.
Fans make a petition getting them to make a PC port, which so far has no good news and quite a lot of bad things about it. So sales probably won't be good at which point you can queue the "Piracy is to blame for our (bad) port failing, we won't release on PC again because of piracy,,,,piracy,,,,"
Also it seems like a slap in the face when you think about how "some guy" not working on the port gets it to run in 1920x1080 while the people working on the game spent ages on it and didn't even add that.
As interested in this game as I am from watching some playthrough videos, I have to say maybe they should just have stuck to their consoles.

I'm conflicted with regards to this line of thinking. For me fans asked them to bring it to PC, presumable because they either didn't own a console or didn't want to play it on their consoles. So From Software obliged and made the game work on PC. This is exactly what the fans wants. Now people are complaining because it doesn't look BETTER on PC than console, but that was never the request nor was it ever stated as the goal. So people got the game on their PC which looks exactly the same as the console version. Not to mention they did this port with no budge and no experience.
Having said all that I think they could have hired at least 1 consultant to help with the PC port or get someone from Namco or something like that to sort out the real obvious stuff like the internal render resolution.
Regardless of how it looks it's still a very good game (according toe everyone everywhere) and you are getting $15 worth of content for included in your $40 so it's still good value.
