A washable keyboard isn't that new, I used to wash my keyboards in water plenty of times. Just pop them open, take out the membrane and circuit board them soak it in the kitchen sink. If the membrane was particularly dirty you could wash that too.
Just avoid the circuit board. Felt like getting a new keyboard every month!

The one thing I have already though of doing is to have (similar to the keyboard/scanner combination that was on the market long ago, is to have a heater fan that blows a steady stream of warm air from the full length slot above the keyboard onto your fingers for those cold wintry sessions! That was the advantage of the balled mouse / trackball - you could keep your hand warm in your pocket while manipulating your cursor on the screen!

Do you have any idea how disgusting a keyboard is. How about you take a few swabs of they keyboard you typed that bit on and have it tested in a lab to see how much of your own fecal matter is stuck in that thing. Chances are it's worse than your toilet seat with few things in your home or office being worse. The only thing I know of off hand that's more disgusting is a remote control and that's only because more hands touch it.
Maybe you should read up on things you're writing about before calling them stupid thus making yourself seem that way.

Nope. I tend to clean my keyboard once a month. Weekly I tend to use a compressor and just blow out the loose junk that sits underneath the keys and when the month comes I'll pop each key off and wash it.
Try money.
