$59.99!? At current US$ to ZAR exchange rate of 8.34 thats R500. That is steep.

Yeah I'm keen on it to, but at R500 that is a bit steep. I played the hell out of the first one and its subsequent expansions. When Company of Heroes: Online came about, I managed to get a couple of my clan mates on it and we played the hell out of that till it got shut down. From the preorder threshold:

• $5.00 Premium Currency
• XP Boost
• Unit Boost
• Commander Archetype

That looks a lot like the system Company of Heroes: Online used; you recieved what I can only describe as cards which used up a currency known as supply if you went into battle with them. They gave you various bonuses to building or units, or were hero units with unique stats which you then levelled them up by going killing units with them (Combat Pioneers were complete win). You earned supply by participating in battles, but you could use real cash to resupply them - this was particularly the case with higher end cards, but you may know all this and thus I am just rambling.

With the current release date set for 2013 it gives me time to save, because hell I'm definitely in for this if that is what we are getting out of the pre-order.
