There are actually a few servers, however let me warn u, if you change anything to give me hassle ima moer u
just kidding, my packets and everything are fine with afrihost.
Pretty much what you looking for is tcpview, when in game, alt tab run tcp view and see what ip is using most for dota 2. Then you can do a tracert to that address.
I doubt the dota servers will let you ping them.
Tracert different to ping dude![]()
Still uses IGMP packets which will get blocked my most servers.
Can something similar be achieved using WireShark? I'm working on a story...

Update 2
================================================== ============
Ok what to do
1. Enable console (If you dont know how In steam library > Right Click Dota 2 > Properties > Set launch options. Type in -console apply etc etc)
2. Close console when in game
3. Create a Private lobby (Set server to europe) and start game
4. When in game (dont even need to start playing) open console (Generally tilde key `)
It will show the IP and port, generally something like this
Connecting to public(146.66.152.33:27021) ...
381.453: Sending UDP connect to public IP 146.66.152.33:27021
NotifyClientSignon: 2
Connected to 146.66.152.33:27021
Dota 2
Map: dota
Players: 1 (1 bots) / 24 humans
Build: 5072
Server Number: 4

Yea monk but generally 9 times out 10 the issue actually lies within SA, already just by doing this little test there is a HUGE jump in ping in capetown somewhere...
But you right ICMP packets are blocked by valve side
