Although the engine is showing its age, they are absolutely correct, guys love the fast and smooth nature of cod, something that is lacking in pretty much all modern fps multiplayer games, BF3 being a prime example, although BF3 looks gorgeous...its plays bad always feels slow and stuttery, no matter what machine you're running and at what settings you play at.

Not sure how they can call it gorgeous. Maybe they have been drinking too much of the Activision kool-aid. Sure it's passable and maybe a decent compromise to get 60FPS on old ass hardware but it isn't gorgeous.

I still think we are in for a bit of a shock with blops II, I reckon the game is gonna look decent, Treyarch always do a good job...its Infinityward that usually fuck up.

Well, from a graphical stance I would say it's dated, but I wouldn't exactly call it ugly. It might not have all the bells and whistles other games have, but it's still visually pleasing. At least it looks a lot better than BF3, where the 'uber-realistic graphics' often makes it difficult just to see wtf is going on on-screen, seeing as it looks like someone threw dirt at your screen and all the fancy lighting effects does nothing more than blind you.

If anything, my issues with the IW engine is more with it's technical limitations than its visuals.

Dated as hell, but hey as long as the sheep keep on buying the same thing over and over there's no reason for them to progress is there?

It still plays smoother than any other engine out there and that's what really matters.

That's why they have kept using it. I also think this will be the last time they use the engine and from the vids I have watched it looks perfectly fine. It also looks nothing like the original engine from 2005, not even close to that.

Tell me that doesn't look good? and im not just talking game play I am talking about the graphics.

Any word on if we're actually getting dedicated servers? That is pretty much make or break at the moment.

I don't see the issue, the engine works brilliantly and makes for a good flowing game. I also don't really see the point in getting a super realistic engine and then bitching because the lighting literally is blinding and all you see is bullets flying out.

My opinion keep the engine, it works and sometimes graphics are overrated compared to game play.
