    It is a new PC - no older than 3 months. Strange that it does not pick up the NIC - never had a problem with it before

    Mmmmm...That's so whack..Ive got a old network card and it installed the drivers automatically!! Stupid question mate but is the pc hooked up to the internet?

    Not currently - without the network card Will hook it up via a USB modem and then search for drivers...

    Windows 7 is far better than any previous version of Windows I've worked with, in my opinion. I'm continually shocked at how stable it is in its beta state. Microsoft has definitely made heaps of improvements over Vista. Windows 7 will redeem them.

    Just one question though - has anyone managed to install a Netgear wifi dongle? (WG111v2). Netgear products always give me driver-related problems.

    What kind / make NIC is it?

    Sounds good enough to me.
    If anything Windows 7 should run even better than Vista did on it.
