As per the title, my first concern is low latency for World of Warcraft gaming. I read on a post on the article "Best ADSL network for gaming" that a person said he was getting 165ms to a server in Paris on Afrihost, is this possible?

So please give me your recommendation.

Its hard to monitor the latency, Because in wow when i raid and battleground the latency increases due to so many connecting to one area, But when i dungeon and quest and battleground on small battles grounds the latency is alot less. What is your normal latency and line speed? im on 1mb at home and i get around 200ms average

I am on Cell C at the moment, getting 260-300 usually. I am just tired of the random disconnects while playing, which is doubly frustrating while raiding...

I used to have ADSL but cancelled it due to line theft (out of 12 months it was operational 5 months ), but I am moving end of the month to Randburg where it shouldn't really happen.

im in the randburg area besides my exchange getting knocked from the storms on the weekends i dont have a problem so you should be good. mweb offers alot for gamers and the speeds are really good. My Recommendation IS or MWEB

I was with Afrihost for the better part of the year, but cancelled my account after they switched over to MTN. Latency was just too crappy. On a recommendation from a friend, I switched over to Plugg. And so far, I don't have any complaints. UK ping is around 185-195, and US ping is hovering around 334-338. (I'm using the 4mb uncapped account).

Hmm.... I haven't had any (if I had it would have been 2 or 3 ) disconnects on a 1mbps mweb account... And support wise they are the best

Cobus is depends what server you are playing on (EU , NA?) , but you are not going to get 165 ms even on a EU thats for sure. As JP said go for mweb, they are cheap, reliable , good customer support and just overall awesome. Got nothing but good things to say about them.
