Man ... they had better work a lot faster. By myself I've caught at least 7 or 8 people already having cancelled their accounts. Plugg couldn't have launched at a better time.

I'm holding out for the time being since I can still use my WA backup for gaming, but I'm already eyeing out other possibilities myself.

Lol if I had to cancel every time there is something goes wrong I would not have any ISP.

Yeah, cancelling because of a small problem that will inevitably occur every now and again is quite a pathetic way to do it.

This is far from a small problem, its massive. Imagine your 4MB line goes from hero to zero in 1 day, meaning one day you were getting 3.4MB connection, and all of a sudden you getting 0.53. And it stays like that for 3 weeks. Pings in game are impossible to play with. CS is around 300 - 400. Other games similar.

My line is completely fucked. I can't even browse the forum without pages timing out every 5 seconds. I can't play games online as the lag is beyond ridiculous. However, I will stick with them until they fix it, which I am sure they will.

The problem's been running for about two weeks now. Those lag-spikes I mentioned when we were doing Mad King runs were gone when I switched to my WA backup. I'm still relatively confident they can get things fixed, which is why I'm not bailing immediately, although it looks like CT users are going to deal with some extra lag until they get the new IPC online next year. But I can deal with an extra 50 - 70ms - I started my online gaming on a 3G connection, and it's still miles better.

I think the thing that pissed off a lot of users was the ... I'll say implication ... that some other issue was at hand; in most cases people were asked to have their lines checked, or their ports reset - I received exactly the same instruction myself, including a suggestion that my line be re-synced to a lower rate. I called bull, because the timing of my "line-fault" is a little to convenient.

I already know that there is some noise on my line, and it's never affected my performance to this extent.

Last week was abysmal, this week it's been better do get spikes pushing me up to 80ms from a normal rate of 40ms. This happens Afrihost have been good to me and I know its a slight inconvenience but they've acknowledged there are issues in certain locations.

Lets see how this move pan's out these types of strategic moves can be tricky.

Last night things seemed better for me. Still not as good as it once was, but much better than the last week of poor speed and latency.
