OK, so I fitted the H100i last night, only took about 3 hours

1. I have a Rampage 2 Gene motherboard, which is m-ATX. This means that the cutout in the backplate still did not allow me to fit the backplate via this cutout. In the end, I had to remove the top 3 motherboard screws and "bend" the board to allow the backplate to slip into place. Now that it's in, it's not touching anywhere it shouldn't and fits correctly.

2. The radiator did not fit in the top of my CM690 II, as there's simply not enough space for the rad and 2 fans, my RAM slots are in the way. I had to fit the rad on top of the panel, and the two fans under the panel. With the rad on top, the screws did not line up, as the water pipes were in the way. This meant that I had to Dremel about another centimeter out of the panel to make this fit (Thank god I have a Dremel...)

3. Upon first start, my PC sounded like vacuum cleaner, I was unhappy. After installing the software, I put the fans in Quiet mode, and it's much better now.

So horror story, but not like you do this daily. I will have to sell the case and H100i as a unit when decide to sell it (not soon though...)

So first thoughts:
Pros:
- My PC is now uber sexy! Getting rid of the ugly Intel, loud cooler made my year!!!
- My CPU was at 29 degrees with the fans at full speed. With a quick load test, this went to 45 degrees.... (the other day this was at 98 degrees while playing FarCry 3)
- The unit is sexy.
- My PC looks sexy
Cons:
- There a new "clicking" noise that my harddrive is making, sounds like every second or two. The hdd led on my mb also flickers when I hear this noise. As this plugs in via USB, I am suspecting that this is polling or something? This really needs to stop, it's loud and I'm unplugging this if it continues.
- The software looks a bit like it was written by a student... I expected more from Corsair. Also, you have fan setting, but none of them are dynamic! WTF!!! The idea would be to set a target temp, and if under this, the fans are quiet, at this level the fans go a bit faster, when above this temp the fans go even faster... you get what I am saying... The options given are Quiet, Fullspeed, and a few options in-between. Or am I missing something?

Anyone have another story to share or have some advise or anything for me?

I will also post the Cons on the Corsair forum to see what they suggest. If you read all the way to here, thanks bitches!
