I had the soundtrack playing for a few hours the other day ^_^

And as far as Aion's lore is concerned ... I'm discovering it bit by bit ... especially since you have this whole lost memory thing going. I love it.

Mysterious past and all being worked into the plot ... wheeee ... I was the god of you all .. .I just know it

Okay, so, am I correct in saying that Aion does not have decent "looking for group" facilities either, and falls back onto spamming the chat channels?

    Pretty much.

    Isn't that universal though?

If I remember correctly WoW originally had a LookingForGroup channel... that was removed, and then later returned due to player response, by that time the LFG system was in place.

    Default AION = Epic!

Well, I have been playing WoW from the start and I just switched over to AION (EPIC!) So far I am really impressed with the game, I mean cmon the game is still new right! Obviously there will still be some bugs. I remember, even WoW sucked when it was still new and without the expansions!

    I'd have to disagree here.

Wow vanilla was awesome - the expansions have slowly changed the game for the worse in my opinion. Not that I'm opposed to new content, just the numerous dumbing down list of changes that keep being made.

Let me give you an example:

WoW hunter changed to shooter gameplay.

When Blizzard announced Cataclysm, they also announced that the hunter class in World of Warcraft would undergo significant changes, not using mana any more. At the time that bit of news went unnoticed, due to all the other significant changes to the game.

But now Blizzard revealed more about the changes to hunter gameplay, and the changes are more significant than we originally thought: Instead of using hotkey abilities with mana, hunters in combat will now change into "aiming mode", with a crosshair in the middle of their screen. Using the mouse wheel they can change between first-person and third-person view.

The keyboard selects what kind of shot they want to fire, but the actual firing is done by targeting the enemy with the crosshair and clicking the mouse. The WoW hunter class is being changed to classic shooter gameplay. Apparently lots of people complained that the standard auto-attack plus hotkey combat was too slow, and not really appropriate for the hunter class.

So in future a big part of the damage calculation for hunters will depend on how well you aim your crosshair. This is an attempt to modernize World of Warcraft, shooter gameplay apparently is more popular with the younger crowd.
That's an interesting post because I'm sure quite a few people reading it wouldn't actually realise it's a joke. Wow's come to a point where anything no matter how illogical isn't actually a surprise anymore
