While I agree with the list to a certain extent, in terms of changing the industy:

DayZ - it is a mod, but from an emotional rollercoaster POV, no game comes close.
Planetside 2 - 2000 people battles with players around the world, in multiple vehicles with next to zero latency or hit-reg issues? Yep.
