Aus are worse than Germany by a long way. Germans only ban games with nazi symbols in them, aus have banned more games this year than any other western country.

I only order online from Kalahari.net lately. Other online shops want to charge R45 for delivery to here where I live, whereas Take2 charges me R60.

I really got to move to somewhere better.

Only the console games are badly priced. Most PC games cost $50 in the USA, that's R350 - R400.

Wrong. Germany also bans any games with the depiction of too much blood or gore, headshots, or (occasionally) zombies.

Gears of War 2, for example, was banned in Germany, as well as Dead Rising, Condemned: Criminal Origins, most Mortal Kombat titles, and Ninja Gaiden 2. There is currently talk of banning all violent games outright in the country.

Remember also, that Australia doesn't ban games. They simply do not have a ratings tier for games above 15+. There's a difference between banning and refusing classification.

Yes, also in the German version of TF2 the characters explode into candy instead of body parts.

Banning or refusing classification is pretty close the the same thing. You won't find the game on a shelf in an australia store. Yes there may be small differences but in essence it comes down to the same thing.

I am aware of the crazy talk that some politician have going on.

Sorry wasn't aware of any of those games getting banned since I mainly follow pc games and the only one I am aware that had issues this year was wolfenstein due to a nazi symbol slipping in.

I sure wish that the bandwidth problems would go away in SA. This will cause a serious drop in PC Games prices at least and if it doesn't the stores will just fade away. All the online resellers and even the producers themselves are distributing games cheaper or with weekly specials. Pickup the whole Unreal collection from Steam today for R122... This includes all the Unreal games including the latest one. The big problem however is the amount of bandwidth to download them all ... ouch

The price for Zaps for SF IV is incorrect. The price listed is the Collectors Ed. They sell the normal edition for R519.00. That will change the figures.
