Just a warning to those who want to get the Sennheiser PC350 + Asus Xonar Xense. I myself have bought this pair and I do agree that the hardware is very impressive. The problem is that hardware is only half the story. The other is the software and I am not very impressed with that.
The main problem I have is that Asus have provided no support for their sound card in Windows 8. You can download the Windows 7 drivers and install those but you will not be able to open the control panel at all. I eventually had to download the unofficial unified drivers to get a control panel in Win 8.
Another thing I've noticed is that Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and this sound card don't seem to work well with each other. The game would crash on start if I had DirectSound emulation enabled while I was still using Win 7. And now either this card or the unofficial drivers are causing the game to crash on loading a save or randomly under Win 8.
