I watched the Nintendo Direct yesterday. This looks really good. I might just pick this up...along with Fantasy Life, whenever the hell it gets reworked into English and released here.
    That's what she said.

I want to love Pokemon so badly, but this looks like an old ps1 game... It looks almost the same as black and white 2 on the NDS but with new camera angles... And why can't the pokemon MOVE around during pokebattles use the terrain etc with cool animations etc.. this is 2013 godammit. The animation in the trailer looks so jerky..
That's just like, your opinion, man.

Well, it looks really good for something that you'll be holding in your hand. I think they did quite a good job and it is a big upgrade from what Pokemon fans are used to.

As far as the movement of the Pokemon go, that is part of the core mechanics of Pokemon battle. Do you mean move around in an aspect like FF Tactics, for example?

I guess the ultimate realisation of a 3D pokemon in my mind is too great and will never come to fruition by those guys over at gamefreak.. they rub me as a traditional company scared to take any risks with the franchise.
In my mind a battle system similar to this would be awesome... but one can only dream...
