Default New Computer Monitor - Help

I'm looking to buy a new monitor, preferably 23" with a glossy screen.

The one I have found and like is the Samsung A23A700D, however its about R4000.
I am looking more in the range of R3000.

Does anyone know of any good screens? (doesnt have to be Samsung), but please note the screen must be glossy.

    Any help appreciated

Any specific reason you want a glossy screen? Esquire has some good prices on monitors.

    That is expensive.

Look at major retailers like Inc Connection, Game etc. They have massive buying power and can sell stuff cheaper as a result. Samsung's LED monitors are super black. Very nice. If you are serious about gaming, just get a 2ms, not a 5ms. That's it.

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT buy from Retailers like them unless they are on special, they over charge so badly because they have buying power. Rather buy it online.

Saved you R400 plus the Samsung has HDMI, where the Dell does not. Don't know why you would want glossy they reflect light like a mirror.

And I suppose they don't have to pay massive rent , staff, transport etc.

Agreed. Their regular prices are ridiculous. But I got my Acer 24 in. on special cheaper at I.C than any of my dealers. Same for external hard drives. WD 1TB USB 3 for R799 at I.C. Pinnacle and Rectron were both R150 more at the time, plus I have to drive to Midrand.

+1 for avoiding a glossy screen too. I spend most of my day watching what is happening behind me.

Double posting is against forum rules. I'm sure no-one minds if you do it occasionally, but you've done it in at least 3 different threads already in a very short time.

I am interested as to why you mention Pinnacle and Rectron, seeing as they are not conventional retailers, but rather wholesalers which require you to be a reseller in order to buy from them?

As for OP, my five cents would be asking why the glossy screen is a factor in your decision?
