While I don't find the item particularly appealing, I'm not offended by it.
It really seems like a fuss over nothing; let's get real - look at the game it's attached too. A zombie brawler that will be full of blood, guts, viscera, brains, severed limbs, zombie cannibalism, and wanton melee violence. I'm pretty sure I slayed loads of bikini clad zombiettes in the first Dead Island.
Suddenly this statue is crossing the line? Lame.
Perhaps it's an elaborate marketing campaign. Make a render of a bikini clad statue for a supposed collector's edition, cause a stir among the prudes online, and suddenly your game is making headlines across the internet. Well done Deep Silver PR department :P
