Similar to MalicE's Think Car campaign, I REALLY wanted to start one Called "Bike Think"... as people on bikes think they are above the law, whether it's motorbikes or them silly road bicycles.

If you are a cyclist, you have most probably driven next to another cyclist while on the road, which means you are an asshole.

If you are a biker, and you drive between two lanes on the N1, you are breaking a law. You are allowed to pass a car on this line, this does not mean driving all the way from Monte Vista into Cape Town on this line.

All car drivers DO think while driving, why should we add complexity to this job to allow some biker to disobey the rules. Then if I kill a biker who was driving like a doos, I also have to live with the guilt although it wasn't my fault.

So really, if you are on a bike, YOU should be doing the thinking...

    ^YEAH!

And on a slightly unrelated note, if you ride a bike, be it a ZX13R or a 50cc "poegie", and you park your crotch rocket in a normal parking space meant for cars, you deserve to be punched in the nether regions (especially you poegie basturds). There is a special place in hell for you...

i think the point has been missed. This has blown over because people hate cyclists and bikers. mean while everyone drives a car.

The whole point is that people hit cyclists because they want to or did not pay attention.

I still say cyclists should watch out as well because the road is not there for them alone as well for the cars. It comes down to a simple statement.

Cyclists stay out of the way of cars and cars stay out of the way for cyclists. Easy

    Oh yeah, forgot to say....

I never started "BIKE THINK", because bikers are a scary bunch (No, not you on your 250cc modern bike, the ones with the tattoos and beer bellies).

There seems to be a pretty strong prevailing attitude amongst cyclists that they have more right to the road than anyone else and if you disagree with them then FUCK YOU.

tl;dr, cyclists are just as bad as, if not worse than, BMW drivers.
Work on your language mate, no need to swear to make your point! You seem to imply that cyclists are the main cause, I don't agree. There should be an attitude adjustment on both sides - no law can regulate that.

This is a touchy subject, heh?

I have to say this, though: Not all cyclists are that bad. Granted, some do make me want to put my foot down on the accelerator, but those a not a massive portion of the group in general.

I think that laws involving safe road usage for pedestrians, cyclists, automobile drivers and motorcycle drivers need to be re-looked at and the flaws need to be exposed and fixed up properly. Once this is done, everyone involved should understand exactly what is expected of them. Dare I even say that a penalty system would also help enforce laws, for both motorists and cyclists alike.
    That's what she said.

    I fixed it for you

IMO a cyclist falls under the same category as a pedestrian. they should be riding on the sidewalk, not the road

^^^ This man is wise! If this won't do, then go ride on some course built for the purpose of what you are trying to achieve.

read what he said there. NOT ALL CYCLISTS are bad.

and the part of cycle on a side walk. I would like to invite you to take a road bike and cycle on that, then after your 80KM cycle have a nice time fixing your bike on what ever side walks dont exist. There are two types of cyclists road and MTB. road cyclists need a road (flat surface) MTB needs (what ever you feel like riding on). you taking into account that all are Noobs and should be hit by a car. Think of it like this everyone hates Taxi drivers, but in the end not all of them are shit. Its the samething with cyclists, thats why i say that there needs to be a understanding from both sides for anything to work.

But then i come to think of it this is South Africa people do what ever they like and can get away with it. Only when something bad comes to happen then people implement change. Why sit and complain when nothing will be done about it. I dont think that in 2 days from now motorists will respect cyclists more or less than they do now.
