This country's infrastructure doesn't favor cyclists...I've noticed in Germany they have special side roads for cyclists, and even special robot lights.

    Default Cyclists ignore safety measures

Its amazing how cars need to show respect for bikes and cyclists but they don't have to show any respect to cars.
Respect the big metal object, it will kill you.

Yes, but as one is driving the 'big metal object' one needs to display more restraint as a life is at stake.

Well given that nobody else follows the rules either it doesn't matter much anyway. No bike helmet will save you from a taxi storming down the wrong side of the road @100kmh.

I imagine if we had special lanes or something similar, they'd become much like the emergency lane to the taxis and a lot of motorists.

Yeah, no offence to whoever thought it up, but the Think Bike campaign is pretty shit. Cyclists use it as an excuse to drive like assholes. I agree with Think Car. Cyclists need to be more mindful of cars, not the other way around.

My problem with the law is that cyclists hold up cars for kilometres on busy roads, forcing them to drive 30km/h simply because they cannot get a gap to pass the cyclist.

Absolute rubbish. Both have to be mindful of the other. Car drivers should have the greater responsibility as they can kill.

Go drive a bit in the Netherlands, you'd be in jail within a week with an attitude like that.

Where did I say cars don't have to be mindful of cyclists? I said cyclists have to be more mindful of cars. I'm not going to drive like a maniac around cyclists, but cyclists shouldn't act like cunts who think they can do whatever they want on the road and not give a shit about cars.

There seems to be a pretty strong prevailing attitude amongst cyclists that they have more right to the road than anyone else and if you disagree with them then FUCK YOU.

tl;dr, cyclists are just as bad as, if not worse than, BMW drivers.

I saw an extended one the other day that said "Think bike. See bike. Get out of bike's way.", so my retaliation will be "Think car. See car. Don't get run the fuck over."
