I prefer fighting my way through to the front rather than clean overtaking. In a sim you can't really do that.

Plus its NFS, its always been an arcade racer, its fun that way.
I've always been a big fan of helmet views, only problem is... Your vision is restricted, so you can't tell how far your vehicle is from the curb. Gives it a better sense sense of realism, but also makes it hard to take turn sharply.

I love the NfS series. The only problem is have with these games, as many other titles, is, it's all scripted. So racers will outrun you the 1st few 100 meters, then slow down for no reason, giving you the obvious opportunity to overtake and win. Which is one of the reasons why I like games like Gran Turismo more. You win based entirely on skill.
