    Default Cop arrested for shooting robber



    A police officer who killed a robber in a shootout at a fast food outlet has been arrested for murder, the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) said on Wednesday.

    A police captain had been arrested for murder and defeating the course of justice, IPID spokesman Moses Dlamini said in a statement.

    He was expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court later on Wednesday.

    OMW, so now not even Cops are allowed to shoot at robbers. WTF?

    Thats just stupid so whats the point of having a police force then. might as well give the water toy guys and the robbers have AK-47s.

    Its so Fail only when a number of police force members get killed in the line of fire will they have the right to use firearms. I dont understand it some times, people have to die before change is done.

    I think you guys should read the entire article before commenting, especially since there's 3 sides to every story

    Was the robber armed or unarmed? Was he any threat to the police captain?

    Yeah, the article doesn't give many facts.. For all we know, the cop was busy robbing the place and shot his accomplice..
