Finally! I've heard Half Life is pretty decent
I am keen to get my Ubuntu machine started up and slapping Steam on there. Half Life is just all the more incentive to do so.

I have to agree, Half life is a very good game. Interesting thing I heard the other day, with Valve criticizing Windows 8, this push onto Linux and Mac is sort of future proofing their business in case the only way to play games on future Windows version will be via their own Windows store. I personally doubt it, but you never know what Microsoft decides.
The Black Mesa mod for the PC which updates Half Life for the PC with better textures and resolution is also very good.

LOL, i never even realised that Half-Life 2 had been ported before Half-life. Been playing HL 2 on my Mac since mid last year. I will pick up HL when there is a special on it lol.
Why did nobody tell me this was outI've been waiting for years for them to finish Black Mesa!
