The majority of people who beg do so because they are too lazy to take the initiative and take responsibility for their own welfare.
OK, so walking door to door asking for a job in the garden is not like begging.... so statistically you would then have 4 people knocking on your door every day asking for a job in your garden... I'd rather give a R5 to a beggar on a street corner every day!

I agree beggars are fucking irritating, but you have to be in a really kak place to actually start doing this...

I would much rather give someone money if they show a willingness to actually work for it than someone who simply stands with cupped hands, sorry.

I don't see how you can consider someone actually trying to provide a service so he can get compensated for it as worse than someone who merely sits on a street corner going 'money please boss.' One is actively trying to improve his situation, the other is doing what the ANC teaches people, to sit and expect improvement to fall in their laps.

I think you are misunderstanding me...

    I hate both!

Just think that there's even more sitting at home doing fuck all, than there are trying to do something (be it begging, going door to door, whatever....)
