I'm done with buying EA games after what I found out today. Really, I hate EA and have for a while, but this just takes the cake. I was reading an article on BF4 and they discussed BF3 Premium a bit. I read something which made my hair rise a bit.
'queue priority into servers'
So I google it and read up on what they mean by this, as I simply couldn't believe that they would do what I was thinking they were doing. EA is bad, but they're certainly not bad enough to do this, are they? So I read up on it, and lo and behold, buying premium enables you to skip server queues.
Now forgive my colorful language, but in what fucking world is this an acceptable business practice? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for businesses providing an advantage to customers who pay more, but when that advantage comes with the price of other customers being disadvantaged? So, essentially if you don't want to pay an extra R500 on top of the R400 you've already paid for your game you simply have to make peace with the fact if you're trying to get into a popular server there's a big chance you're going to wait for quite a while as Premium players skip the line ahead of you?
How is that fair? Who, in their right minds, at EA headquarters, thought that people who bought your game but opt not to or cannot afford to pay even more for it, should be penalized?
