So unless you personally know the guy then something like this can't something. Personally I don't like the guy but I know he means something to plenty others, to have a hero fall this hard must be a pretty big loss.

Wow, reading the pages so far has really made made my evening a bit sadder. I could in fact at this point give my opinion, but I think I will leave it until all evidence has been considered, Oscar has been tried in court and a verdict has been given.

the facts according to media reports:

    -shooting happened at +- 4AM
    -Oscar is an experienced gunman
-Police had been at Oscars residence before for domestic disturbances
-Neighbours report to have heard arguing sometime prior to the shooting

you cant doubt that this whole thing is highly suspicious and I for one was actually quite depressed yesterday hearing all this. Some of the jokes are in extreme bad taste but I admit there was two light hearted jokes I could actually appreciate and kind of helped me out.
    so be it.....

still, feel so terrible for Reeva and her family.

I agree, there are many facts, but it is not for us to decide whether he is guilty or not. I was also quite shocked to hear about this, and sad that it happened to him; most importantly because he is/was a role model for people around the world. My greatest condolences to Reeva's family, and I hope this whole story passes by.

    EDIT:

Another ex-girlfriend, Jenna Edkins, defended Pistorius on Twitter. "All I am saying is let him speak, let his side be heard without jumping to conclusions," Edkins wrote.

Funny how we focused on Oscar who shot his wife and feeling sorry for him, but not for his girlfriend that was shot. And now the media starts reporting whatever bullshit stories they can find about Oscar . http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuu...wardt-20130215 , pisses me off so badly.

This is quite a blow for South Africa. Oscar was an ambassador for this country and was known around the world.

True, but he is also a human being like the rest of us.
