    Was very awesome
Although a little boring if you didn't play games like cod4, cs source and dota

I had a good time at rAge. Didn't see any MyGaming guys there and didn't participate in the LAN but it was pretty awesome. Bought myself a G9, laughed at all 20 of the Guitar Hero stands, etc.

Sadly, I think this year was my last rAge LAN. All the modern PC games require the Internet to play - We were having quite a lot of issues with Steam this weekend so I couldn't play games like Left4Dead or Team Fortress 2. Sure, there were cracked LAN versions, but they are outdated and do not include some of the latest and greatest content.

Add to the fact that I usually get better pings over ADSL than at rAge, I see no reason to go again.

The only thing that'll maybe get me back there is the socializing aspect. My buddies, fiance and I had a blast, even though we only played like 2 different games the whole weekend.

    RIP LAN.

I was kinda surprised, on Sunday the LAN really died down. Didn't see anyone participating. Most of them were watching South Park or something.

Excuse my ignorance, but is rAge LAN a bring your own PC/laptop affair or is all the hardware provided?

Yeah i must agree with Etiko. In this day and age, its becoming more and more important to have a connection available at large lans for people to authenticate steam and the like. They can block every other port on the connection, just so long as ppl can connect to steam.
