Are you going to be playing on Local servers or International?

If international no matter what line you get, you are going to get lag of some kind. Otherwise I think 2 Mbps should be more than enough.

Indeed but if you're only going to use it for playing MP then why not choose a 1 Mbps line? The upload speed as far as I know is the same as 2 Mbps so the ping internationally/local won't differ.

If your going to download to and have the money then A 4 Mbps line would be ideal

Thanks for the response guys: i will b using the line to download games from PSN and the occasional series, movies download. This might not be at the same time. Lets say worst case scenario " I am playing International" i take it that i can do that with 2MB line.

    No problem dude!

Of course! but expect a ~200 ping depending on the server location. (Which isn't THAT bad you get used to it )

    Hi Nic,

I currently have a 2mb line and i'm downloading games and playing games online as well.

Just make sure to pause your downloads if you feel a lag.

But running CoD WAW online does not have any issues at all.

I have also played borderlands online and no issues at all.

I had issues a while back when i was on Iburst but nothing since going to adsl.

    Kind Regards,

2MB will be more then enough. Most online games don't use much data the most important factor is your ping. Other then BF3 and dust 514 almost all the other games I've played online on console have been p2p based instead of server based so it's more about your ping to the host then anything else.
