President Jacob Zuma has been given a clean bill of health following his annual medical check-up, presidency spokesman Mac Maharaj said on Wednesday.

Responding to media inquiries on why the President had been spotted at various hospitals in Durban, Maharaj said Zuma was not ill and had not been admitted to hospital.

"He is not sick. He is having routine checks," he said.
