I have to say, I've never had any motion sickness from ANY game, EVER. I didn't think it was all that unusual, but based off the comments here, I'm starting to wonder if I'm the weird one.

My first FPS was Wolfenstein 3D. I still remember how you'd press ILM at the same time.

I recently ran across this in youtube and it instantly reminded me of Doom. So those of you with fond Doom memories might find yourselves enjoying this as well.

I don't see how people can get motion sickness for games. It's not like ur actually moving like when u get car-sick or sea-sick.

Ever heard the saying "mind informs the body"?

It's a case where your eyes tell you you're moving around, but your ears tell you otherwise - leading to a bit of a loss in synchronisation between the two. Basically, your eyes override those little nerves in your ears, and your brain ends up being convinced that you are, as a matter of fact, spinning, hopping and jumping all over the place.

I think current generation graphics actually exacerbate the problem.

It varies from person to person though - some are a little more sensitive to it than others.

You obviously haven't played with some of the ppl I have. Without wheels on the chair they couldn't play. It was actually more entertaining watching them than actually playing

I've happily read novels in cars while on long journeys when I was a kid. Never got me carsick.
