Origin wants to update and install anew every few days. So, I've given it the finger until it gets its act in order.
I'm actually surprised at how little Origin has improved, to be honest. All of my Origin downloads cap off at 50kbps, just as they did last year when I initially got BF3, and a quick google search confirms I'm not the only one experiencing it. Their store is also a total mess. Navigating it is a complete nightmare. It's one of the least user-friendly online stores I've ever seen.
Origin isn't all that bad and in many cases it outperforms Steam (such as start-up times, Steam takes forever and Origin starts up almost instantly), but the entire experience is brought down by a few technical issues which have not been fixed since the app originally launched. If they can fix these little niggles, Origin might actually go from 'meh' to being a good program.
Also;
This. 40mb update every few days.
No, but it is particularly annoying when you frequently have to wait a few minutes for an unnecessary update when you start Origin up.
LOL:
"Origin never improves"
"OMG not another improvement patch ..."
But it's not another improvement patch. It's the exact same patch, over and over and over again. Even so, a patch does not necessarily imply improvement. If it did, we wouldn't be experiencing the same issues we've been experiencing for the past year, would we?
Sorry graal wasn't having a go at you; but I just find it ironic that no matter what a company does, people will always complain
