The only way the rising prices can be justified is if you are a fan of the genre and/or the game.

Whilst I wouldn't pay this for BF4, I was more than happy to shell out R750 for the collector's edition of SC2: Heart of the Swarm.

Paid R 4000 for BF3 to run smoothly on my PC. Not going to be doing it any time soon.

I think last year I payed R399 preorder for bf3 so seeing at how many hours I played the game and how fun the game was I think R440 for bf4 could be worth it as long as the game is good and keeps me entertained as long as bf3.

Yup, I paid the same. I can't believe that they are asking this price. But now that BF3 is a "Premium", "AAA" title, they think that they can charge whatever they want for it. I really enjoyed BF3 and I am keen to see what this has to offer, but I'll probably wait for a couple more gameplay trailers before making a decision.

Paid R280 for BF3, kalahari discount voucher. So that was ok. But I don't think I'll get BF4 unless it is something really special.
