It will be a sad day.... This focus on MP over SP in games already is scary...

I think that's quite a one-sided article, tbh. Sure, they list some seriously large MP releases over the next few months, but they totally skip the massive SP games that are coming out. DAO, Borderlands, Batman (yeah, already release and all...), Bioshock 2 (should be far more SP than MP), Assassins Creed 2 (early next year), the next Splinter Cell game.
I believe people will pay money for a game if it is an excellent game, irrespective of whether it is an SP game or an MP game. If I can sit down with an SP only game for 80-120 hours, and still discover new things on replays, then it's worth just as much to me as a multiplayer game where I might spend 800 hours playing.
Additionally, I don't want to spend all my game time playing with/against other people. I get more than enough social interaction in day-to-day life, excluding whatever happens online, to satisfy me. For me, sitting down to a good SP game is very akin to sitting down with an excellent book. It gives me some decent time away from everyone else, time to let my imagination run wild.
SP disappearing? I think not, since I'm fairly sure there are many more people who feel the same way about SP that I do.
The difference between pizza and your opinion is that I asked for pizza.
SP Die ? Never ! Especially here in SA where we all know how "cheap" a descent bandwidth connection is....which you need to play MP.
Nuff said
Rock and Roll aint noise pollution
The reason i am getting cod:mw2 is for the sp the mp will be a bonus and that was the same reason on got the first one. I buy games for there sp and i havent bought a game for mp only yet. The way i see it the mp should give a game its replay ablity
