So I restarted after realising that I forgot to pick an AI personality for my companion...
Was wondering why the heck I had to reaffirm my choices lol :leFail:

Rolling two sisters! 1 dps fighter and 1 range rogue.

Do you guys also spend an hour customising your classes or do you pick default and go?

I have spent way too many hours customing and constantly respeccing and restarting. Still not happy as I need to know something from u guys :

Plz can u tell me more about henchmen?
    What classes?
    What are their talents?
    Can they be changed?

My fear is that I will duplicate with my characters

Edit : for example, if henchman gonna have Pet Talk or Leadership or Light Step, then I won't have to choose it for my character

My dear is that I will duplicate with my characters
As far as I know, there are two companions, one in the inn (EDIT: Madora) and one in the Library (EDIT: Jahan). One is a melee fighter and the other is a mage. Companions have opinions and storylines, unlike henchmen which do not. Henchmen are silent and are just there to fight. Madora is crazy though, I chose not to take her.

I'm not too sure about this part, but I think both companions and henchmen can be leveled according to the players choice, but I'm not 100% certain.

There's a henchmen of almost every class available, I think.

Don't worry so much about specing and re-specing. Just play the game. I highly doubt it'll punish you if you screw up, I know I have already. There are so many different methods to completing objectives, If you get stuck in combat there's always another way. Just quicksave a lot

There's a thread over at neogaf where they're talking about everything. A couple of pages back you'll find the companion info and some recommended starting classes. Honestly though, the game is about experimentation, try it your way and see if it works out.

I'm having a blast. The constant NPC dialogue is a bit annoying though. I've barely engaged in any combat, mainly just been exploring and stealing everyone's paintings for easy money. Yes I know, I'm a horrible person

Anyone having performance problems? The game auto-detected my setup as good enough for the ultra preset, it ran fine but my graphics card was having none of that. Even on medium it heats up to stupid levels, so I'm running on low for now, which kind of sucks. My PC is decent, a bit old but it should handle this fine. I'm running an i5 2nd Gen, 4GB RAM and a GTS450 (yeah I know, it's old and I should be ashamed)

Adding onto what the imp said, hiring can be done by speaking to a NPC in the hall of heroes (which will be unlocked after a certain quest).

Once there you get to scroll through a list of generated characters, each showing their class and stats similar to the character creation screen.
    Looky, I found Khaleesi:

Not too sure about how they level up... haven't leveled a henchman up yet.
Oh, they also don't all start at level 1, some start at a higher level. Obviously the higher the level, the more expensive they are.
The henchman/woman cannot be at a higher level than your main during time of hiring.

I haven't unlocked the Hall of Heroes yet. Still messing around in the main town. My party is over-encumbered because they're all kleptomaniacs. Urgh!

Also, I just found the strongest weapon I have seen yet in the grave in front of the healer's house, near the sheep, in Cyseal. It made every fight so far almost trivial. Go dig it up!

Just quicksave first because you can reload the quicksave to get, err a better item...

I think I'm going to start again, didnt realise you could change skills in character select. plus the mage companion wasn't the one with the skills I thought they were going to give. Game is great though. 9/10 and I still haven't left the first city or explored everything in the town in the hours I played.
    GOTY for me so far.

The hall of heroes is still in the first town
I haven't left town yet either - there's so many pockets still to pick!

Lol, I got caught in a trap when I dug the grave in front of the healer's house.
The trap wiped out my entire party.. doing some 2000 damage
Glad that the interactions are random! Making re-rolls worth while.

The toughest fight so far was a skeleton that I dug up in the first town's graveyard.
I won't mention the name of the gravestone, but be prepared to use your health potions

Also on the loud repeating NPCs.
I find that turning the voice volume to half of what the music volume is does the trick.
Now it feels like there's lively chatter in the background and not someone shouting at you.

    This game is freaking addictive!

    Question
Does anyone know how to fish or if that it is possible?
I could only stab the ground with the fishing rod.

Interactions aren't random I'm just evil

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try.

I don't think you can fish, unfortunately.
