Busy waiting to borrow a copy from the interwebs to see if I like it or not.
It's fantastic! Although I find it a bit strange that the player character says nothing during the conversation. Visually, the game looks gorgeous. I'm running an i5 and a GTX960, downsampling from 2k and it's still at 60FPS easily. It's very well optimised (cough unlike Batman Arkham Knightmare cough), and the new combat effects look great.
What type of class are you playing as? I'm using dual wands with Air and Water spells, and a witch with fire and earth (sorry for potato quality, the Steam overlay isn't working for me). I'm going to get the ranger and warrior companions as soon as I get to Cyseal. Don't know how many people here are playing for the first time, but I recommend having your two main characters as magic users, with schools that complement each other. The magical abilities are just so much fun. Also here are some tips for new players as well.
I'm also liking the new tactician difficulty, it's nice and challenging for players who had already sunk a decent chunk of time into the original game. Every single encounter is rebalanced, and enemies use advanced tactics and AI. Unlike other games where they just bump up their health and lower your damage to artificially inflate the difficulty.
EDIT: I recommend turning off Steam cloud save functionality. You can do that by right clicking on the Enhanced Edition, going to the updates tab and turning it off. The save files get big, and in the few hours I've played it's already uploaded 100mb of data.

As someone who hates spiders in games, essentially because they're boring and well, fuck spiders, they're not that bad in Original Sin. There's only one section where they feature prominently, and even then they're in a desert. This is coming from a guy who modded the spiders out of Skyrim and turned them into badly animated bears.
Also there are a bunch of summons, the spider is the lamest one, and you can skip getting it. The elementals are some of the best.
Ahh, how are you playing this without flinging fireballs at everyone.Seriously, midnight oil and fireballs, it never gets old.
