After Playing COD1 + Expansion Then COD2 I got over WW2 games They were just so overdone, But COD4 was awesome! (So I would have never played a Call Of Duty GAme again if it was not for COD4)

for me it was a breath of fresh air, either fps are ww2 or futuristic, both im utterly bored of, spent about a day with world at war then swopped still playing modern warfare on and off since the day i bought it. My money for mw2 is in a envelope and ready for launch day, can't wait.

Scares me to think that one of the best games ever, almost wasn't made. And all because of publishers not wanting to try something new.

A while back when they finished COD3, they said it would be the last one and they wouldn't make a world war shooter again, the coders were tired of the same thing remade with a different engine. Then they released COD4 and that changed.

Modern seems so much more fast paced, so don't see how Activision figured WW2 was the way to go Maybe easier to develop, maybe they were just being lazy

I think they tried to make WAW as successful as MW, cos if you look at the multiplayer, its very very similar, so maybe they were trying to instill that same type of gameplay, for people who prefer WW2 shooters as opposed to newer ones?

Me cant w8 for mw2 and the WW2 is starting to get overdone. Waw was boring as it was a WW2 game
