Shut the RTMC: shareholders

Shareholder committee members of the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) want the agency shut down for failing to fulfil its purpose, the Sunday Independent reported.

"The RTMC has not been functionally very well," Free State Transport MEC Butana Komphela told the newspaper.

Khompela who is a member of the committee said that a unanimous decision was taken last month to ask for the closure of the RTMC.

If this is related to the implementation of Aarto, I'm for it. I can't remember exactly (or at all really), but I think the RTMC was created for the purpose of managing Aarto and that has just been a mess from the start.
